Taking a bath with Epsom salts and essential oils is really easy and great for your health!
Dangers of Bath Bombs
Bath bombs that are sold in so many stores today can be really dangerous for your health. The synthetic scents come from petroleum, which is crude oil. Why would you want this on your skin, the largest organ of your body?!?
Plus they are loaded with endocrine disruptors that can contribute to things such as infertility, diabetes, and more.
Not to mention these ingredients come in contact with your genital area. This can lead to UTI’s, yeast infection, etc.
Even though you probably don’t want to take a bath again based on the above information, thankfully there is a healthy and even beneficial alternative.

The more I learn about bath salts and essential oils, the more I want to take a bath every day.

My daughter absolutely loves bath bombs, but I really hate the store-bought kind and have yet to venture into making my own. After reading this post I think I’m prepared to start trying!
Yes, you really should. It’s super easy! Thanks for the comment.
We use epsom salt, dead sea salt, and magnesium flakes in our baths for detox and replenishing mineral stores, especially magnesium. I’m not sure why I never thought to make a blend with essential oils, but that is brilliant. I will do it before my kids’ bath tonight. Thanks!
I agree Dead sea salts are great as well! I hope your kids enjoy the essential oils in their bath.
This is so simple even the kids can do it! What a great Christmas gift this would make…
Yes, absolutely!

Yay! I am so glad you love them, too! And you’re welcome.
I see lots of bath salts recipes and I’m always wondering if the recipes are for a standard this size or the larger garden tubs, which is what I have. What do you think?
Hi. Good question! If I were you, I would add a little bit more of each ingredient for a larger tub. Hope that helps.
